Hot tubs???

You guys sleep like $hit because those water beds turned your spines into the shape of a pretzel.

Best night's sleep ever! You should try the tubed water beds with memory foam topper ...

Miss my waterbed as well. After days like today at work, I am glad to have the hot tub. I don't think I could function without it. I forget what brand but they are no longer in business.

True waste of money. Pick a good charity. You’ll be better off for it and so will some deserving people.
The same is said by some about boats.

Besides the money we give to veteran causes and the time we (mostly my wife) donate to local charities we give to our wonderful federal government every spring some of which eventually gets distributed the generational welfare program. That's how I waste my money.

Buy the tub.

Not exactly charity when you brag about it..

Sure it is Dave. I and my wife donate time and money and ask nothing in return.
Thats kind of an (being polite) 'interesting' opinion and well, you know what they say about those.
And an interesting definition of bragging (as opposed to mentioning) as well.

If only everyone on the receiving end of those public services was actually deserving of them.
Said by a lot of people until they were in need of them. If you don’t think veterans are deserving you’re probably not deserving of what many of them sacrificed.

Uh, you may want to re-read my initial response to your initial post.
And then reconsider the intelligence behind your "If you don't think veterans are deserving..." blast
Take special note of the group that I mention we give charitably to. (sorry if I'm bragging again)
You're not making a lot of sense here Dave.

Additionally, telling people that their investment in their health and well being is a waste of money well, forgive me if it comes off as as a little bit holier than thou / pompous / arrogant (pick a favorite).

My wife (whom the tub was bought as a present for) has two new hips and two back surgeries and in January gets to go in to get three vertebrae fused together.

If you're this jacked up on charitable giving, you need to put your money where your mouth is and sell your boat giving all the proceeds to charity. It would be quite hypocritical of you to do anything less.

We are considering removing a wood deck that I built 25 years ago, and putting in a stamped concrete patio, wife wants a hot tub, so ill be reading this thread closely
I just put mine on a bed of gravel. drains better once its level your good to go and dont need to chop it out if you decide your not a hot tub person.
Hot springs are good brand!
