They make a hot tub pad that goes over a gravel bed.
Considerably cheaper than concrete work.
The aesthetics are blah, but we knew we were building a deck around it.

As we approach closing out 2023 on CSR I wold like to formally nominate this thread for "Best Derailed Thread of 2023". I know there have been some good ones this year. @Arminius rarely disappoints. @Blueone almost quit on us this year. But to go from hot tubs to fascism in just 4 short pages? This is public forum gold, gentlemen.

Some people seem to have an inborn instinct to tell other folks how to spend their money. I was sitting in the parking lot at our grocery store the other day with the top down waiting for my wife to come out. A nice looking lady in her 60s with dark hair and a silver streak bleached into her bangs stopped and asked me if I knew how many people could have been helped with the money I spent on my car? I asked her how come so many Biden voters need to give people unsolicited advice. She walked off in a huff.
Giving money to charity is a wonderful thing to do, but it is an individual decision.
