I have the Clarion XMD3 deck and want to know if I can hook up my Sandisk Sansa MP3 player.....Is this possible?
From what I researched I need a cable since I should have the outputs in the back.:smt100
Which cable is it?

To hook up our IPOD I got a cable off ebay that goes from the power port and not the headphone jack. This cable is good for power and left right speaker function. Insert the cables into the auxillary jacks and you are ready to go. If I remember correctly they are the red jacks. I was confused at first when I used the red wires and it did not work. Wish 2 Fish has posted a lot on this subject. Good luck

The cable Jim has linked will work. The 9 ft cable will allow you a lot of options for locating your mp3 player. The red wires with the red and white tips on the back of your stereo are the aux input. You toggle to aux mode by pressing the power button briefly when the unit is turned on. There is a sensitivity adjustment to allow for low/med/high input which you may need to adjust.

This thread might cover this subject as well.

Re: Hooking up MP3...or Stilletto

OK....One more thought........I have a Sirius Stilletto which is the portable handheld device. I was thinking that I might just as well like having that better than an MP3 player.

I would prefer not to activate another subscription and be able to take my stilleto from the truck to my boat...

Please give me your ideas on that guys
