Hole in the Water Club

Had that happen to me last year. My $16,000 Sea Ray investment generated $15,000 in tournament winnings the first year I fished her after the boat purchase and complete rebuild. Not bad. Just need to win another salmon tourney and I'm in the black. Well, kinda.

I'm not including equipment purchases and upgrades.....somethings don't need to enter the calculations..

A finance and business guy would complain about my accounting, but I'm and engineer so I don't care.LOL

Moved the boat to MM for outdrive service yesterday. 80 degrees and sunshine. Was going well until I forgot to lower my antenna going under an 8' bridge and whack! There goes the antenna and some more cost to my winter service.

the admiral thinks I am starting a marine salvage yard out back
BUT...I just cleared 500 bucks over my initial investment on the old jet motor
and still have the old boat and trailer it was on !!! and several guys wantin it...not bad for a 100.00 gamble
more steps closer to the 350.
and she is looking at 370s...I love my wife

Went out a few weeks back, it was raining, switched the wipers on, wife sid "we have wipers on the boat!" "Yep".
My daughter was standing beside me at the helm, "Did that wiper just fall off?" "Yep" "Did it go all the way overboard?" "Yep"

A week later, winch wouldn't go down, Circuit breaker had died..........only about 3 years old, and a good USA brand.

Australia Day, went out with friends had a BBQ. Back at the dock, lifting the BBQ off the stern, splash....one of the mount posts for the BBQ went over. (stainless steel $100 pair)

Well guys, I've got my baby up for sale :smt089 it really kills me to sell it after all the work I've had done on it.

The Admiral wants a bigger boat and so that's what I'm getting. Unfortunately I couldn't find a Sea Ray outfitted the way I wanted in the northwest :smt009. Every fly bridge Sea Ray I found up here had a cockpit drive station. I have one now and I have never used it, huge waste of space. I even went to Huntington Beach to look at a couple 40's but they were in pretty rough shape.

So I'm having a 41 Silverton hauled and surveyed Thursday. It has everything I was hoping to find: Diesels, no cockpit drive station, walk around queen, big shower, second berth, open layout....... and it looks to be in great shape.
