Hole in the Water Club

Not sure why I haven't put my name in here yet!!

Nik - "Liv 'n' Luce" after my daughters, Olivia and Lucy

I think I qualify since I have spent countless hours now on my boat, and I have never yet been on the water with it!!:smt043

Well I finally got around to fixing the windlass foot switch and my fears were confirmed, seized up motor. So the admiral passed the anchor drills the previous weekend so as long as her motor doesn't.......

I do have a question though; A/c unit is a reverse heat unit too. The a/C part runs fine , no problems. Came home this Saturday nd turned the heat on and it was tripping the breaker on the boat. Waited for like fifteen minutes, tried the A/c and let it run, no problems, the heat trips........any thoughts?

I gave up on the windlass
but my anchor wench works well....for beer

I made the mistake of adding up the reciepts on the 2 boats last night....
and I still don't have 1 that works right :smt013

I know to little to late but,

What a shame Jim... never ever add up boat related receipts!

Reverse valve is stuck to the A/C side vs the heat side. Sometimes tapping on it with the handle of a screwdriver will free it up.

I know...but I was depressed and looking for that one thing to push me over the edge...guess I didn't spend just quite enough ...

no...
My gluttony now is to learn everything there is to know about pre-aplha drives so no one ever touches my boat but me
then I know who to blame when it #$%s up

splash down :smt038

wow! That's one clean 240! Congrats on getting into the water!!!

Not sure what it takes to get into this club... but my boat is 31 years old... because I wanted my fathers boat I have almost spent more on just getting the boat in the water that what I could have gotten a newer boat for with a trailer and a lot less head ache. And that was just to get its belly wet. I have not even started on the upgrades and the interior and... and... and... right now its a throw back on the water torn vynal carpet that could be in your grandmothers house, I am about to at some point go to led lighting and do some work in the interior... but right now I am just glad to have it finally running and in the water. I might be eating Ramen noodles for a while and the family is looking at me like I have lost my mind for blowing so much money for no return as of yet... but I think I am getting close to qualifying for this club?

If we required membership dues for HITWC all we'ed get would be IOU's.
Everyone is overspent on boat gadgets and repairs. (As it should be).
