Hinging The Arch

Fantastic job, congrats!

It's finally done! I still need to clean things up, but the arch is done.
It was quite the project, mostly from the lack of access to do the job. I also did a few preventative items while I was waiting on materials here and there.
I removed the starboard wet exhaust, and replaced the starboard seawater impeller.
I did the port last summer. I also installed stainless barbs on the port cool fuel module.
I did the other one last summer.
Now to clean her up, and get some wax on her.
I'm off at least next week, and it's supposed to be in the high 60's to low 70's.
I was doing PT for right shoulder pain.
I finally had an MRI in JanuaryView attachment 81589 View attachment 81590 View attachment 81591 View attachment 81592 , and I have bursitis, arthritis, a slight impingement, and a medium grade partial tear in my dominant shoulder.
That sure added to the fun.

Very impressive!

A prior boat had the arch hinged from the factory and had a stand it could rest on.

Nice job...fortunately, my 2 mile tow to the lake has not been a problem with my just shy of 15 feet on the trailer height.

Jim, I want to take the boat to other places, and not have to worry about my height. We have a trip planned to a place called Stehekin this summer, it's an amazing place at the end of Lake Chelan,Wa. https://stehekin.com/
We also like to go to the San Juan Islands, this makes it much easier to do that.

Looks good Greg. Did you do the work at the marina or at home? If you've been to the marina in the past few days, is the water on?

BTW, when you make the trip to Stehekin don't plan on getting fuel up there. The last time I was there the last place up-lake to get fuel was 25 mile creek.

I did it at home Mike. I haven't been to the marina since I pulled the boat in December.
When was the last time you were at Stehekin? They had fuel the last time we were there, but that was four or five years ago.

That's a really nice job on a beautiful boat.

It's been many years. I had a 20' Reinell open bow that we launched at Manson and cruised up and back. We were going to follow the Lady of The Lake back down because it was windy. She left without us knowing it and we missed her.

We cruised all the way back to 25 Mile Creek Campground before we found any gas and we were running on fumes when we got there. That's the closest I've come to running out of gas in a boat.

I just measured with the arch down and it went from 14'2", to 12' 11 1/2".
I'm calling it an even 13'. That made it worth it in my book.

Great job! This will make all of the difference in the world pulling it down the road.....
