hey im new here. i have had boats before and love my searay. first off i have a 1995 sea ray, chevy 4 cyl in/out board mercuriser.. the problem im having is the small container on top/side of the motor that feeds oil to the drive is empty everytime i get done using the boat, that oil is very pricey, i followed the line down to the drive and thought maybe it needs a clamp,, so i put a hose clamp on it, which by the way was not easy to do...but it still emptys. am i missing something ? also is there a cheaper oil i can use as the merc stuff is 17 dollars a quart...........thanks a head of time s.r.r.

:smt024 I think that is out-drive oil... I would check the out-drive for leaks. It could be leaking from the plugs where you fill the oil in the outdrive... Sometime the "o" ring seals deteriortate...
