This months calendar picture is the CSR Keowee Raft-up.

How is the lake doing? What is the water temps like now?

Chuck,

Lake is great , we never really have an issue with the water level , thanks to Duke Energy. Wter Temo this past weekend was upper 60's low 70's depending where you were.

Just about time to start thinking about another raftup!

I'm ready!! Let's plan it! Several more weeks of warm weather and the water will be very comfortable to get in!

We are in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great time last year with some really great people.

I wouldn't mind coming. So far, we have plans for Memorial Day weekend and the weekend of June 13th.

Were are you going to be for Memorial Day Weekend, Charleston??

Nope. Will be here at the house. The kids are still in school and we have guests coming in from Charleston.

SeaRay Paul...go ahead and let us know now when you will not be working...so no excuses...

We definately want to head that way again too! Got a new truck, so now we can tow up those hills and pull out of that ramp better!

Paul, I agree with Wesley. WHEN are you NOT working on a weekend? Maybe we can plan one around your schedule. LOL

Sweet Dreams,
Did you have a problem pulling out of the ramp at the marina? The far side has the least of the grade.

Ok gang this sounds like a good idea to me. Since I work every other weekend all year round. In addition occasionaly I get a short stick and get to work an extra weekend unanounced. Got to love those weekends, but I have a job.

I was off this weekend 5/1 thru 5/3. I work 5/8 thru 5/10. Off again 5/15 thru 5/17. Repeat this sequence and we are in buisness. I plane to be on vacation 7/26 thru 8/1 We also plan to go with the boat to Hilton Head one of my off weekends.

Hope that helps. As always plan the trip and I will see if I can come. I understand after 30 years of this my work schedule is a huge problem for normal people. I am watching.

I hear you, I had to put the Durango in low 4wd to get MS Judy out.

It really is not that long or steep. I've dealt with a lot worse. It is the angle. It is short/steep so the boat is in the water and your front wheels are on the flat??? Does that make sense??? It is a two lane ramp and the one closet to the dock even seems to have a hump at the top.

Make sense. So the toughest part may be getting the boat to line up with the rear trailer bunks and bow stop when retrieving.

I'm here at Lake Keowee, without my boat! It's killing me. I'm helping Oconee NS with their refueling shutdown. The water is as always, clear and clean. Maybe I'll run home and get the boat! Mike
