Just some Ideas about Crossing and safety in Bahamas (These are just my notes nothing more) Just thought it might be a little usefull. I have medical kit stuff if needed?
1. Lifejackets: one good lifejacket(PFDs) for every person on the boat(Type 1,2,3, PFDs)
2. 406 EPIRB Please register it with your vessel name and proper information(check Noaa)
3. Back up handheld VHF
4. Back up GPS
5. Proper fire extinguishers(1 B2 & 1 B1, or 3 B1) Check status
6. Throwable PFD
7. Distress Flag, electric Distress light, Flares
8. Life raft
9. Satellite phone
10. Bell and handheld Air Horn
11. Hand Held Compass
12. Strobes
13. Whistles
14. Thru hull Plugs
15. All kinds of Batteries
16. Bilge Pumps Checked
17. Oil Pollution Placcard
18. Garbage Placard
19. Registration, State numbers, Certificate of Documentation
