Well, now that I am knee deep in it, I may as well start a thread to post the progress of my flooring project. I am hoping to complete this over 4 weekends but won't rush it just because of a self imposed (or Admiral imposed) deadline. Here are a few pictures of the progress from last weekend. I was able to remove all of the carpet and pad, then scrape all of the glue, pull all of the staples, measure, game-plan and make a list for what tools I need to carry down next weekend. In my spare time, I cut-in a new 120v outlet and flush mounted my new charger remote.

Good start.
What product are you putting down and how will it be secured?

Wow, Ken, Looking good so far. It was hard work when I did mine but IT will be worth it.

Made some progress over the weekend. I didn't take pictures after cleaning up as I was too tired and discombobulated. I am happy with the way it is looking though.

How are your knees holding up? Mine hurt just remembering.....

Did you have to spread any kind of leveler to prep the floor before laying down the wood? I was wondering if that is what the white areas are. If you did use a leveler, what product was it? Looks great!

That was already there but I did knock down some high spots with a multi-tool.

Notice the difference in the step to the mid-berth? A lot easier to get into that head (and a lot easier to cut the flooring!)

HUMPH Looks great! Nice little shop you have set up in the cockpit. At least you didn't have to go up and down a ladder to cut everything on the ground and haul back up. Great Job, it's going to be fabulous when you're done.

Coming along very nicely! You can also now say that the flooring has lowered the carbon footprint of your boat from using the sustainable bamboo. Maybe this will make up for some of the diesel we all burn.

I wish my carpet would come up that easy! What year/size boat did they start glueing it down? and why?
