We are still looking, just like everyone else I guess, right deal / right time. In the mean time I still like working on her and adding new additions.

Changed out all the cockpit speakers to JL Audio speakers, adding a JL Audio subwoofer, added a new amplifier and pre amp module. Still a little more work to do, but most is done.

Happy New Year everyone!!

You folks down under know how to throw a party. Watched it on GMA this morning. Happy new years to all. Hope this one is better than 2010 was.

You must have been a good boy Bill:grin:. Do you currently have a sub or is this gonna be a new install for the sub. If the latter is so, post up some pics:thumbsup:

Yea the speakers where a Christmas present and so was the preamp….. I put is on my list and Santa was good to me!

As for the subwoofer, the boat did not have one so this is going to be a new installation. I bought a JL 10 inch infinite baffle speaker which a plan on mounting on the in the wall under the port side forward cockpit seat. On a 320 this is a bench style seat and there is plenty of room there for it. The speaker cable will be run in the bilge wireway over to the starboard side and back into the area behind the access door (with the speaker) by the helm seat floor level. I already have the speaker wire from the amp pulled to this location, but pulling to the other side will have to wait till I pull the shrink-wrap off in March, so I get lift the hatch and get to the bilge. In the mean time I will mount the speaker and run a test cable for now.

Here is a picture of the mounting arrangement I made for the amp, but this picture was taken before I added the AudioControl Overdrive preamp module, and a small PC board with solid state relays for turning on the fans I added to cool the amplifier. All of these parts are now in and this board is mounting in the cabin under the bench seat. Of course I had to pull larger gauge wire for the amplifier as well.

Nice setup there Bill, very organized. Whoever ends up with this boat in the future will appreciate it!

Very Nice:smt038.

I need to change out my cabin amp. It's got distortion in all the speakers. I figured it IS the amp cause I swapped one of the speakers for a new one and the same problem exists. Not TOO much in a hurry cause I rarely have the cabin speakers on and also it's gonna be a pita to change out the amp located behind the electrical panel.

I don't get SR's logic when they buried the amps way back there, I mean we all know, they don't last forever:smt013. I was piddling around last week when I mounted my 32" LCD and had to pull the panel to run some RCA wires to my A/V switch box and looked at it (the amps) and said to myself, leave it alone for another time:smt009.

Just wanted to say HNY to all you guys in the USA, it is now New Years Day where I am and it is 9:10 am all the festivities are finished and most of the population here is in recovery mode. :)

Me, well I am at work looking after the free world as usual so we can still party without fear of being blown up. Lets hope we can all continue to enjoy our lifestyle in the years to come.

To my friends in Afganistan, stay safe and come home to your families.

To those in the UK HNY, you have 20 mins left so the countdown has started, the fireworks are about to fly. :)

Happy New Years CSR, May your new year bring you prosperity, good health, and good boating!

Anchors Aweigh! Bring it on 2011!!!:smt038

Happy New Year, best wishes in 2011!!

Have the pork and sauerkraut cooking and enjoying the Mummer's Parade on the home town station (WPHL 17), thanks Comcast for at least getting me local enough to see the whole parade!!!! Remembering my mother dragging me downtown to catch the parade as a child! I have to admit that while it is much more comfortable to watch on TV, it does not compare to seeing the costumes in person. The colors and detail are unbelievable!!!

Take Care all! Counting down to spring launch!!
