grill placement on a 280

Stray Cat, I got it! I think I will also mount mine in your location. I like the idea of having it off the back of the boat and away from the cockpit. (Keeps little hands from investigating the thing!)

OK, here's another possible issue. I sometimes smell a little bit of gas fumes if the wind is right on our beam. It seems the breeze blows into the fuel vent on the upwind side and out the vent on the other side of the boat. Anybody ever had this issue with a hot grill going? Could be a fire hazard. I suppose you could grill on the up wind side, and it probably is not issue when anchored.

Slack: I use the bracket set up like JeffM posted..(thanks Jeff)
it is very sturdy.

SBW1: I've never smelled gas fumes from either my 270 or 300 while anchored, and we have grilled on some calm / humid days.
My grill is quite a distance from the vents though...
