Great South Bay , raft up

Just wondering - how are the mosquito's this year at Watch Hill? Really want to spend some time down there this summer but my son is HIGHLY reactive to mosquito bites, and we have been going to davis as, since they spray, there are virtually no bugs in the marina down there.

Hey Russ,
The mosquitos aren't that bad but the green flies are terrible. Although it was a little windy the nights I was there which may explain why they weren't bad.

updated post #22 for time , call ahead for a spot at watch hill(631)597-3109 8am we can not stay the night, we were informed of a family friend's wake we must attend that night.

Myself and a two other boats are leaving Lindenhurst at about 11Am so shooting for 12noon at talisman ok? monitor channel 72 thank you we are "Havana Shamrock" look forward to see ya!!!

Well, just got back from the raft up and i'm still swaying at home no not from drinking, from the boat rocking and a rolling all day. Man we had four boats and they were movin, we were taking turns going down below to get things no one wanted to be down there. Anyway it calmed down a little during the day and had a great time, nice ride home with the sun setting, blah,blah, nice to meet wendy and Ron from CSR hope their stay at watch hill is a nice finish to a pretty good day on the water!

Ron, the people that went along, we never met before and frankly never will , we were upset at what happened and discused it on the way home, the other boat is in the slip next to us and are very nice people, i would like to apoligize if that made anyone upset, hope we can all do it again soon , say hi to the gang from us!!
