well canopy arrived in uk, not opened yet.

But very annoyed that box was alot smaller than told.

sounds trivial but they told me box was certain size, and it was alot smaller.

problem is i could of saved over $250 with different courier, as i was getting quotes on size of box told it would go in.

Know its pointless but i feel like letting them know, have emails me asking sizes to get shipped to uk.

or would i be wasting my time, whats customer service like.

Not only that have had to pay extra duty with shipping costs being more.

lets hope it fits and all there as not opened yet.

Depending on weight, box size may not have made a difference. They cube it when they calculate the shipping cost, more often than not that is done on the weight.

I have had the same thing happen many times with U.S. based suppliers, one that I used for a while, it didnt matter how many times I told them to use a box the size of the product, I continually received my shipments with boxes 2-3 times the size required, and a huge air void in the box.

I would show them a couple quotes for that weight and different size boxes. Odds are they don't ship internationally that often (Canada doesn't count) and didn't know how the size of the box impacts shipping and import duties.

i could of saved around $500 , i asked them any chance use smaller box they said no as windows have to be rolled, i could of gone with cheaper shipper as the box is alot smaller

Just they knew that was sticky point in me ordering, as its cost of shipping internationally, the box is about 10iches shorter than quoted, which has a big impact, believe it or not.



they came back with a more competitive price, but thats why as they put in smaller box,and weight was no where as heavy as they said it would be.

if i do write in wonder who i should address it too??? how do i find out CEO or head of management, probably wasting my time, but would like to vent my issues.

I would make sure the canvas fits before you do anything else.

if it doesnt fit, wont be going back to much to ship, and suppose be classed as my fault.

be very unlucky if it doesnt, they had hull number of boat.

i only hope it does, they are supposed to be factory fitted.

i could of lol, but havent got much free hols at moment, was tempted to visit my cousin in CA FOR a long weekend, cheapest fair at time was £490 but that was 2 changeovers to get there.

As was suggested, I would install it first, and see if you have any other issues... Once you a sure that all is fine, then I would write them an email, and express your dissatisfaction with the inaccurate size of the boxes, and the additional cost to you. They are a good company, and would rather a customer go directly to them, rather than loosing future business. I expect they will do their best to make it right... I found them to go above and beyone my expecations when I had problems with my install...
