Great Addition!

She's an amazing woman and it's interesting to listen to her stories. Born in 1915 in the thriving metropolis of Ingomar, MT she's seen the US involvement in almost 50 wars between 1900-present. I didn't believe it either, so here's a link to my source in Wikipedia.

I get the biggest kick out of listening to her stories about life in MT then their move to WA. Her husband and his twin brother ran an appliance store in the town of Cle Elum, WA. They were the first cable TV providers in Central WA. In the early 60's they wanted to run cable to the south side of the river that divided the town. To do that, they tied the cable to their German Shepherd's collar and held him on the north side of the river. My wife's brother went to the south side and called the dog and the dog swam across the river to bring cable to the other side.

I guess it's true that necessity is the mother of invention.
I have an odd sensation of knowing more about the times back then. I love listening to stories about life back in the day. Sounds like a great woman.

Hey hey breakfast at Bennett's? Alright!!

By way of a PS to my earlier comments about my 103 year old MIL, we were at her home this week and she was telling us how proud she was that at her age she could still gather all the paperwork to do her taxes.

An amazing lady in many, many ways.
