Grab Rail Fender Mounts

I think you will find the "basket" type holder on a 2002 340DA an sys sore and it WILL impede your vision unless you plan to stand up all the time.
You can try Fender Grips. These are white plastic with a thumb trigger. You can get 2 per fender and can haul the fenders up horizontal to the rails and snug them. If you mount them near the back of the rail and about even with the windshield they won't block your line of sight and you can walk long the side. Any more forward and the fenders really don't do much due to the bow flair. Or just use one and as long as you have enough line, you can tie the bottom to the rail and pull on the fender grip for the same use.

Custom fabricated would be my vote. You can put them where you choose, mount them more secure than a standard type plastic mount, and match the lines of the rail. Two types in this photo. I had custom welded triple holders made. Once feature I added was a small loop welded on the main lower rail to affix the fender line to aid in tying off the fender to the basket.
The Ocean in the pic has the standard strap type holders which bounce around quite a bit in rougher water.

I'm talking about something like this...

I would just like some recommendations on type....I've read a couple threads here where particular ones were cheaply made and fell apart.

I have these and they are a vision nightmare. Add to that, on a 330, some good size fenders become a trip hazard... go figure. The best thing I've found to do is to tie them between the stanchions.

I really appreciate all the suggestions and opinions offered...its one of the the great things on forums like this one...you actually get real world experiences from folks using the products. I'm not sure what I'll do.....I'm always standing when I'm making close quarter maneuvers so not really worried about site lines....my fenders fit in my Lazerette just fine....I'll wait to see some 340's in person to make my final decision.

I have some very old TaylorMade and really like them. I would suggest making a cardboard cutout the correct size and taping it to your rails to see how they may affect your vision. MM

I had fender baskets on my 330 Sundancer and sold them. They blocked too much of my forward vision so I got rid of them.
