That's a painted trailer. It can have hidden damage, and looks very rusted at a crucial spot where the tongue meets the split under the bow eye hook. Very important spot, make sure you check it out fully...

I bought that same year boat new when I was a kid. I had the optional V6 but it came standard with an inline 4 cyl which was very under powered and it had a lot of problems along with the alpha outdrive. Just look it over carefully
 
Dan, I'm hoping it has a OMC motor & cobra outdrive.

I didn't know that Sea Ray was hooked up with a alpha outdrive back then. :smt017

I ordered a 87 of that model Seville and did nothing but use it and LOVE IT. I had the 165 4 cylinder and closed cooling system and only problem in 11 years was starters . It seemed like every other year in the spring the starter would takle a puke. Yes they were marine starters.
One thing to look for if it has closed cooling system is does it
leak. Mine did from year 2 and it was no major problem as it only leaked after engine was shut down and not while in use. I kept 2 jugs of 50/50 in the dockbox and got me thru the year.
I sold mine with a bit over 3000 hours and NEVER had a engine problem or outdrive.....good maintanance is the key.
I would buy another Tommorrow!!
