Reality check... If you would have told me early in the year or even 2 weeks ago that the Niners would go to OT in the Championship game I would have been extatic. Congrats to the Giants as they were the luckier, er, I mean better Team. Congrats to the Niners for a season over anyone's expectations.

Hey man , no sour grapes now. It was a defensive battle as I expected. The niners "D" has elevated it's game more than I thought since these teams last met. The Giants "D" did the same. The Giants are still playing without a couple of starters in the defensive backfield, so you can't use that excuse now. It was unfortunate for that kid but, the first play was worse than the last. Why did he get so close to that punt and then let it bounce off of his knee and not even try and recover? The last play, although it led directly to the loss, was the result of a good defensive play to knock it loose. You had a good run, congrats on that.
I have to say though, Jim Harbaugh is a little strange. That had to be the fastest post game handshake I have seen but, at least he didn't push old Tom Coughlin down!:grin:
I was watching his post game interview on the NFL network and he was out of it. I want to watch it again online because he was definitely not in the room when I saw it!!

The sour grapes are for the "muffed punt" not the fumble. Don't you learn to stay away from a tumbling football on a punt in like 6th grade? He knew he did it and kept acting surprised on the sidelines.... Own up to it! The fumble was bad but at least he was just trying to get extra yards and the guy got him from the blind side.
Soo close... Congrats to the Giants, they deserve it after a tough year. They are playing well but need a better running game.
