Help... need the location of GFI plugs on a 2008 44 Sundancer. I plugged in ONE TOO MANY light strings and cannot find the GFI for the port forward 120AC outlets.

I have looked at the schematics and it indicates GFI plugs at:
- Cockpit door
- Under the wheel
- in the aft head lower cabinet
- in the cabinet above the stove
- owners manual indicates GFI in master head...can't find one

Any others? No port outlets above the sofa, in the master head, in the forward master bedroom have any power. No C/B tripped.

Am I missing a GFI outlet? Hoping I did...parade of lights is coming up fast...

THANKS ALL!!!!

OOPS... no GFI under captains chair / wheel...

Are you sure that you didn't trip the breaker for that circuit? GFCI's don't provide overcurrent protection so it's possibly a breaker, or........ check the fuse inside the first string of lights. Chances are that one blew if you plugged too many light strings in. It's behind a hard to open "door" on the male plug.

On the lights we use, the max rating is 3 strings...

Have checked the port line c/b and it is not tripped. Only the outlets on the Master Head (Forward) GFI circuit are out. The owners manual says there is a GFI plug there...but dang it I can't find the thing. Have looked in all the cabinets and under the sink. I think another 2008 44 SD owner is going to have to lead me to this one... unbelievable.

Did you verify the outlet is dead? There is usually an integral fuse in the "plug" for the light strings. My guess is that blew...

Yep, sure did... the lights work on the starboard plug, but have to unplug the starboard lights to make the port ones come on. All the other outlets are full...yeah, I know, too many lights. But took a 120V lamp around (after verifying the bulb worked) and plugged it into all the outlets that are on the same circuit as the 'master head GFI'. Just can't find any GFI in the master head (forward). It is on the manual page for the head parts list, but it doesn't have an arrow. So I'm wondering where they put it. There aren't many places it can go, as it has a wire box behind it. Should be SIMPLE TO FIND.

Sheesh.

...and all outlets are dead that are on that particular circuit (the lamp did not come on). All other outlets on the port side are fine...just that one circuit. It has to be the GFI...but it is missing in action.

Did you check the plug for the fridge? It might be that one.

Yep, pulled it out. (What a pain). All good on that circuit. The salon outlet, the forward cabin outlet, the forward head outlet above the sink (NOT GFI), the aft cabin TV outlet...all dead. Still can't find the forward head GFI. I am going to BE SO red-faced when I finally find this damn thing...

Not sure this will help but....on my 44 DB the gfi for that circuit was in the medicine cabinet, though I think you said you checked all the cabinets. Mine went bad and had to be replaced. My other outlets that you listed were on a gfi in the cabinet above the galley sink. I realize they are different boats but since no 44DA owners have responded thought it might be worth a shot. Good luck.

Founds it...if you have a 44, take a pencil and draw a line in the parts manual from 6-GFI to the top right head cabinet. It is hiding at the bottom behind the toothpaste. Grrrr
