Genertor for Sale at Harbor Frieght...

Well, I don't have a radar arch, and I just refinished the teak on the platform. So, I think i'm going to remove my helm seat and put a cooler cushion on one of these bad boys and mount it on the flybridge. Even if it doesn't put out too much power, maybe the wifey will get off on the "good vibrations".

Even though we are all laughing over this thread, I was appalled to see an article in Boat Us magazine that actually RECOMMENDED using a portable generaotr on a boat. Iy was on page 61 of May/June 2010 magazine. The article was written by Chuck Husick, former president of Chris-Craft.

In case you don't read or get this mag, a dude was asking if his alternators on a twin 225Hp Grady would run an inverter that would put out 2K to heat water, and run a hair dryer.

Mr Husick said," Your electrical requirements will be much better met by a small portable gasoline powered generator such as the 2Kw Honda"

Lord have mercy on all the jimmy-Joe-Bobs that will run out and buy one, and wake up dead the first morning after deployment....

FWIW

Is there any way possible we could get HF as an approved vendor on our Form ?? That way we could get a group buy going.. matbe $15.00 off sales price plus free shipping. Eeveryone would need to buy at least two so that way they would have power the whole weekend. BTW you need to drain the gas and oil prior to kicking it off the swim platform to creat a fish home

For as much as it is costing me to rebuild my Westerbeke, I could buy 10 of these HF gennys, and afford to kick them off the swim platform after a one time use... It amazes me how the Chinese can make things so inexpensive... Makes me think that we maybe in for some inflation soon:smt101... So spend all your dollars now while the dollar is worth something... BTW don't buy a Torque wrench from HF. The one I bought did not work and I broke two expensive bolts...

Um, WOW!

This is another forum......http://my.boatus.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=65279

Chuck’s doctor needs to up his acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

acetylcholinesterase inhibitor

That's for blood pressure. Don't you mean they need to lower his medical marijuana?

I hear you can change the carburetor to boost the power? The engine is the same, but the larger carb allows it to run higher rpm's and therefore more power? Wait, wrong thread...... This is the one that uses the Nitro Boost! That's the ticket! Hopefully it runs at full tilt and doesn't have any stinking eco throttle on it! I just want to hear it running continuously unmuffled for hours on the boat next to mine!

...and for Dementia.

Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors: Tacrine (Cognex), donepezil (Aricept), galantamine (Razadyne), and rivastigmine (Exelon) are approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment of dementia induced by Alzheimer's disease.

Disclosure: I am not a doctor and I don’t play one on TV.

Hey, if you are a doctor, when I swing my arm like this it hurts. What should I do?

Just got my new arch installed...lovin' it!

No serious boater has a wakeboard tower with no speakers. So I updated this one as appropriate.

I can almost hear Molly Hatchet, Black Oak Arkansas, and Lynyrd Skynyrd blaring from those fine horns!
