Weekend before last was out with the new to me boat and wanted to run the generator since I havent yet. I started it and ran it for a good hour before shutting it down with no problems. Had the A/C on and worked great. I did notice there was not much water coming out of the exhaust port.
Now this past weekend went our on the hook for the night and turned on the generator to warm up dinner in the microwave and the generator ran about 5 min or so and abruptly stoped. I did check the exhaust port and there was again very little watter coming out.
I started the generator in the am to heat water for coffee and then shut it down after about 8 min.
Question is how much water should there be coming out of the exhaust port from the cooling?
Should there be as much as the A/C discharg?
Is there a hight temp alarm that should have sounded if that was the problem with it shutting down?
I dont think there is enough water being pumped to cool the unit. If this sounds right please let me know.
Thanks
Barry
