This Chartplotter/Sounder is supplied with a dual beam transducer. Does anyone know which one is included? Is it an inhull, through hull or transom mount?
Thanks

I just sent you an e-mail Jim
I want to buy the one 545s w/o the xDucer..that you price matched

Thanks for the reply Jim.
I was thinking of purchasing the Garmin 545s without the transom transducer. What would you recommend for an in hull trasnsducer? The Airmar P79? I will also check your website but was looking for your recommendation. Also wanted to mount an ext ant (GA29) on the radar arch. Ay idea whether this would add much to GPS performance.
This is for a new 2007 260 DA.
Thanks
Mark

Price match?! Hmmm... hadn't thought of that one. But being a part-time photographer I know that buying equipment from a reputable and knowledgeable company is usually worth more than the few percent that I pay over from buying from someone that maybe lowballing with questionable merchandise.

I'm currently looking at a 545s as well and I have yet to see anyone with a price more than just a couple of dollars cheaper (usually the other guy is a bit more), same goes for the radio, antenna, etc. that I'm looking at. Considering the attention and service I see here, I can't see a reason to ask for a lower price!

As for transducers, I've seen some recommendations here and still wondering what I'm going to do. I've already got the Sea Ray factory ducer, and seem to understand that it's not worth pulling out and using the hole, besides, I'd like to keep the indicator in the gage set. This pretty much forces me to place the new ducer in the deadrise (for some reason I seem against transom mounts). Through hull versus hull mounts? Will I get as good of a signal from a hull mount? Do I need a fairing block for the through hull?

So many options... Thanks!

I just ordered mine through Jim. Thanks by the way. I can't wait to get it.
