My Shurfo 8050-224-133 bit the dust today. The pump is rated for 1.6gpm at 30 psi. The closest I can find is a 60psi. Will that be ok to use?

It doesn't run any more and it's so rusty it looks like it's going to fall apart any second. Definitely time for a replacement.

I would be leery of that 60 PSI pump unless you are sure that your plumbing pipes are capable of handling that pressure. Most FW pumps that I have seen on boats have pressure switches that cut out between 30 & 40 PSI. They are ususally fixed and cannot be adjusted.

I agree, you are putting a lot more pressure into a plumbing system that is not "New". Opportunity for something to fail.

I have been happy with this one for a couple years now. I don't think you would need the accumulator

For our boat the accumulator worked well. That pressurized gallon means the pump is less likely to come on when rinsing the hands or flushing the head.

The accumulator's function is to settle out the pressure slam when the pump kicks in. There is actually an air bladder in the top end to act like a shock absorber. You can see the air valve in Blueone's picture.

The OP has a sundeck... a couple of sinks and a anchor, transom shower...thats why i said the expense and hassle of adding an accumulator wasn't necessary... I had a 240 and 260 Sundeck without it .. the pump I have would just be a pull and replace without alterations... not 100% sure on a 210...
