Free R/C Sea Ray

Today we got a free remote control Sea Ray delivered to us, without the remote. We have to go to the marine maxx dealer to get it. Guess they think that we've had our boat for 2 years and should be moving up to the next size.

Did anyone else get half of a R/C Sea Ray mailed to them?

I thought it was a pretty unique marketing device.
 
naw... our son was pretty excited when it showed up. We have to go pick up our aquapalooza t shirts anyway, so we'll get the remote, too!
 
Well, if anyone wants to sell theirs, just let me know. I will probably get a nitro one for myself. I have had trucks, cars, planes, and heli's. I might as well get a nice boat. Maybe the budweiser nitro boat. They are pretty cool.
 
Got mine. I walked in to say hi to the dealer and she gave me the remote, next evening i found the R/C boat at my front door. Guess they want me in a 60DA.

FYI the box shows a 55DA in the picture, however the toy is a 48DA. so it works for me. :thumbsup:
 
Has anyone from SR told any of you guys WHY they sent this to you? New boat? Signing up for Aquapalooza? Bribing a Senator? etc...
 
Mine came in the mail today also....I too have to stop by the MM to get the controller.....Oh John M.....put a controller on the side for me.....I'll be by to pick it up....

I think it's because we were talking to our sales guy about a 290 a month or so ago. We bumped into him at the Costco... who knows...
