Four Suns might not like to see this...

The .pdf file with all these pictures that is being e-mailed around has a TON of pictures in it. If it were a photoshop job, someone went to a great deal of painstaking effort to perpetrate this hoax.

I have the .pdf file if anyone wants it.

I would also question what is really has any value on the boat like that... Who is going to buy a rail assembly for a 480 DB? The cost of getting it from there to a salvage yard and store it? Or a 5 year old fridge? Or 5 year old stove? How about them 13" Panasonic TV/VCR combo units? I just don't see what the market is for stuff off the boat... I thought about it when I first saw it and said "Wow... I could have used parts!.. wait.. why? what parts?" I don't need any 480 DB parts...

FlounderPounder would see value in the salvage

Flounder Pounder is a more of a Sea Ray Surplus outfit and not a salvage yard... The stuff they carry is mostly from Sea Ray dealers parts departments or suppliers trying to get rid of new inventory or slightly damaged stuff from warranty work. Not busted up 5 year old boats... I'm not aware of any big boat bone yard/salvage yards out there...

We should all collectively open one then...I know I have plenty of parts to contribute. I have a nice bent prop for starters.

A quick Google search actually turns up a few:

Looks like they are few and far in between though.....

I said "big boat"... not a bunch of outboard/stern drive parts places... those are all over the place.

Agreed and Google confirmed same.

Our marina in Colonial Heights has a lot of salvage big boats sitting on land, though my guess is their owners see them otherwise, as their projects/dreams....I wish they would saw them up and haul them away.

There's a decent place in Clearwater not too far from me:
http://donsmarinesalvage.net/

I've bought fuel tanks, water tanks, props, an electric head, inboard shaft, fenders, rode, and lots of other misc. stuff there.

But like a lot of places, gotta ignore the "sticker" price and negotiate...

What's the forum we can't mention here....edboaters?

if so, wassup with that?

thread jack #2...

going to give the bahamas a go this winter. think these forums are great to get some discussion going on this and

this fourm--does it have a bahamas section?
looked at the listings and dont see one

... and bo....ed is very quiet on the bahamas forum--not much talk at all

and speaking of devils backbone pilots--gotta lookup where that is....what is the destination one choses where you have to go thru the db?

Tell you what, go over there and mention clubsearay and after you are no longer a member then you can come back here and post that you now understand.

They do not allow any mention of any site therefore we return the favor.

Hi-Jack #2 - use the search feature and you will find several topics on the bahamas. We do not have a section on it but you are welcome to start another thread or re-vitalize an old one that you find using the search feature.

Have we all agreed that this series of pictures is NOT photoshopped? Way too much detail, way too many pics.

Sorry G.

That really is a sad series of pics!
