Hi all,
I've searched for this answer with no luck. I am trying to add new circuits to my boat, one is a heading sensor. And I'm trying to use one of the accessory circuits that are activated by the soft keypad that works in concert with the EIM under the helm.
My question is, where do I find the connection point to tap into those circuits??? When I take the cover off the EIM, I see a circuit board with two rows of circuit breakers with button resets. Are those circuit breakers both relay and breaker?
I have not pulled off the EIM because the screws are under the major power lines and I didn't want to take the major power connections off while in the water but since we're out now I may tackle it if there's something on the bottom to see. The major pigtail connection comes out the side and disappears. I see no place to connect into those circuits and the schematics in the owners manual isn't a lot of help. For one accessory connection it shows a hanging coiled wire (where it is located it doesn't say) and for the other accessory line, it shows it going to the connector and no farther.
Any help in understanding what I'm dealing with here is much appreciated.
