First lock adventure with the new boat

Cool picture's, thanks for sharing

I didn't think anybody South of Buffalo knew that song.

And yeah, that's what I was playing. Patio Lanterns would have put everybody to sleep.

They use Kim Mitchell and that song for Public Service ads here for not drinking and boating. "Might as well go for a soda, nobody drowns, and nobody dies...might as well go for a soda..."

LOL. That's great. I miss him on the 107.1 station.

We're considering a run up The Trent next year. I'm sure I'll play it a few times along the way.

Great tunes, haven't heard KM on Sat radio in a long time so I had to go on Youtube. I miss the good old days of rock and roll.

Most folks who live under 43N latitude have never heard of him, or Saga or Tragically Hip, or or or...

Imagine my surprise when I moved back to the Buffalo area in 04, heard Go For Soda on Q107.1 Toronto, and the DJ comes on saying "That was Go For Soda by.......well...........me!" He did afternoon drivetime for about 11 years there.

What a cool way to start off owning a new boat! And you're right about those lake freighters - they look like they'd go under in a light rain.

Just saw this thread. You passed right by our place. We were not around this summer. Congrats on the new boat.

Thanks. Looking forward to exploring the Trent now. Should be a tad more interesting than The Welland :)
