My wife and I finished re-striping the 340. The last owner removed the upper cabin stripes that were maroon and mauve and then added new grey canvas to replace the original maroon.

I wanted to re-stripe but chose the original maroon color and accented with silver to tie in the grey canvas. Here are some before and after pictures.

Nice job!
The last owner of my boat removed the stripes too. Yours came out really nice. I might have to replace mine next winter.
Where did you get the stripes and numbers from?

It does look good even though they look like Washington State Cougar Colors.......

Outstanding!!! Pennies on the dollar if you ever decide to re-sell. I re-stripped my 250 for $34.00 and it really made my (at the time) 10 year old boat look much much newer. I'm convinced between the stripes, new snap-in carpet and my superior salesmanship it's no wonder I sold a boat that wasn't even listed for sale.. It look:thumbsup:s fantastic

Todd....I never thought of that until you mentioned it. I knew there was something not right. :smt009 I am a Husky fan big time. My brother lives in Spokane and is still a Dawgs season ticket holder.

I may have to look at changing the canvas now so I can change the silver stripe. There is a new Sunbrella color called Black Cherry. I got a quote already of $3500 to replace the canvas on my existing framework. Hard to justify replacing 2 year old canvas though. Maybe gold canvas. My wife would like that as she is an LSU grad and they have the same colors as U-dub.

Actually I would have to go to Purple and Gold. Maroon and Gold is USC colors and I would sink the boat first.

good job on the stripping can you tell me where you bought your stripping and how much it cost. thank you

Hey, be nice with the USC comments, still trying to accept this new coaching choice.

NorCal, your boat is definitely nicer now!!! I would keep the grey stripes and canvas, they looks original and elegant

Looks great! I recently re-did mine. I was able to follow the old tape lines. I assume you did not because there was none and yet you were able to make it look original! Great job. It is amazing how much better it looks when you do the comparison.

Peronally, I like the crimson and gray and can't think of any other colors that would make it look better!! Go COUGS!!

Looks great ,i am just getting ready to do this same chore but in ruby and gold .We have a stripeless 260 next to us in storage building i havent seen the transom on but she must be called plain jane.

Thanks again to all that sent compliments. I originally posted this a while ago and actually forgot about it.

I was able to purchase the tape from a CSR member that asked that I not share his contact info. Honestly he has pretty much disappeared. I have not seen a post from him in about a year. The tape I used was available in original Sea Ray colors and was easy to work with. If anyone wants information send me a PM and I will see what I can do.

As for the college colors....I think I will remain neutral on this one. There was no intent to honor any school. I was just trying to make my boat look better.

Great job! Looks excellent.
