Closed yesterday on a 2006 340DA - VD 8.1 Horizons. Will be delivered and launched this afternoon so we'll spend the weekend becoming more familiar with all the systems and equipment plus making a list of all the stuff we'll want/need to make it comfortable and keep her maintained. Will try to get some pics once we get her launched.

Congratulations and good luck with her. You will love that boat, except when you pull up to the gas dock. But really the DA340 is a very nice boat, and when you get used to those inboards, you will feel like you can dock the boat anywhere.

Congratulations, now lets see some pictures.

Congrats! You'll love it.

And...to add to the above comment, with the increase in gas prices, I just filled up to the tune of 530.00 yesterday. If memory serves that's about 60.00 - 80.00 more than when I filled up last time 6 weeks ago.

Congrats!!! You will enjoy it. Obviously Georgia does not have the size restrictions on lakes like Alabama does.

Out of curiosity, is Altoona a Georgia Power resorvoir?

No it is a CORE lake.

Congrats on the new boat! You will have to come to the raft up on the 28th and show her off! Where are you planning to dock her at??

Congrats. That's my dream boat. I can't wait to afford one. Enjoy.

Update: Got her in the water and she ran great without any problems. We put about 6 hours on the clocks playing around with different speed and trim tab settings. Even managed to dock her in 4 different places without any problems or damage (I'm sure I'll be humbled sometime in the future - so I won't get too cocky here).
Was a great day to be out boating.
