My first time TIG welding at work, the managers praised me for how much I was able to get done my very first day doing it. Then I missed the next 2 days because I fried my eyes. I slowed down and got my helmet in place before hitting the pedal from that point forward. LOL

Bottom line seems to be that there is excellent short term protection (96%), like from getting directly coughed or sneezed on. But much less protection (23%) at 30 minutes as the particles work their way around the edges of the shield.

Although I will tell you that when you get your key, the bathrooms are much nicer in the 12,000 post club, here at CSR, than the regular ones, which is awesome because I'm in there more because the liquor in the 12,000 post club is so much better...

Come on I know you have a longer attention span than that! But I know this has dragged on way too long. Face masks are useless for Covid I agree. And they are good for changing baby boy’s diapers. And industrial uses. But that’s it.

Unbelievable! New Mexico governor is saying that she likes her dictatorial edicts and they should stay in place no matter the status of the virus.

“Let’s hold these behaviors beyond the vaccine, because these are good public health behaviors that will prevent the spread of influenza, that will prevent the spread of colds… we should start thinking about this as the right public health path forever irrespective of COVID.”

I was laughing at the dirty looks the masked vs non maskers were giving each other...

We were driving up to the boat today stopped at my favorite place for lunch in Ohio ... just a sports bar .... Ohio has a mask rule to walk to the bar, then you can take it off. I pulled in behind an out of state truck pulling a big horse trailer. We followed them in and they didn’t have masks. The restaurant refused entry they were already in and 10’ from a table. They walked out. What I didn’t understand is why the bar didn’t have masks... at $0.25 each if that they would have got $30 from the 3 of them plus they were already in with their covid breath

We live in a world where problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative thinking are just lost.

It still amazes me the number of times that I am the one that comes up with the idea to solve the problem so a retailer can sell me something.
