Extended swimplatform an old Sea Ray 350 SD 1991 (Pics)

Awesome job Peter. I'd be interested to know how many man hours you have into that job.

Thanks!
Normally I dont count time or money that I put on the boat
I think it took around 50 hours til it was mounted on the boat

WOW!!!!! Simply put that is craftsmanship that has long since disappeared in the United States. As good as you are, I'll bet there is a market for exterior and interior upgrades.

I put a platform on my 92 300 sundancer, also from swimplatforms.com. Best thing I ever did. first the prop's are covered at anchor when the drives are up in shallow water and second I am able to put my 7' dinghy with motor on the platform without davits. I just pull it up on the platform and tie it off. I put a piece of rug that I use in the dinghy to protect the platform from scratching and now I can put 2 chairs out and have a cold one! It's like putting a deck on the house. I installed it in 3 hours and it ran about 2k with shipping. Great product had it for 3 years and it fit like a glove! That teak platform is amazing! I wish I had that much talent!

Very nice job..

I'm baffled by the curved outer pieces. Was this a kit? Did you make the curved pieces? If so, how?

It is quite easy if you give it a thought, use a big piece of wood and cut out a small curved one!

Thanks everyone for your nice words!

Thanks for the reply.. I figured that is how it was done, but I didnt know if you had a large enough piece of material to do it. I was thinking that somehow you steamed a straight piece and let it bend over time.

I have done my share of wood work in my house, but I avoid curves.

I built this from scratch..

Here is a pic when using the platform from last summer

Pete- that platform looks fantastic, in a time of everyone using cork and rubber imitations your real teak looks classy.

and Vince nj1- very nice, how long did something like that take?
