The blower does not start and then I flipped the switch and the blower worked. The switch light comes on all the time. Could it be as simple as a bad switch?

Maybe. Also check your connections and check for corrosion.

Flip the switch on and check to see if you are getting power back at the blower itself with a 12 volt test light. If yes, then blower is bad (unlikely), of no, check connection (probably butt connectors) that attach the wires coming out of the blower to the boats wires (harness), if they are good, then go back to the switch.
You can do it in reverse too if you want.
More likely a bad/weathered connection than anything else.

Not sure how long you boat had been sitting for or if at all but last season i had this issue... birds had went in there and built a nest in the tubing and was causing the blower to over heat and trip the barker... check the tubing... I found a bunch of crap right by the vents... haven't had the issue since.

If you have power at the switch, remove the two wires and touch them together to rule out the switch. With the switch in the on position, measure across the + & - leads at the blower for 12 volts. If you don't have have 12 Volts across the blower, then determine whether you have a good ground or not at the blower. Another quick check would be to disconnect the wiring at the blower and reconnect the blower with a known seperate 12 volt supply to rule out the blower itself.

Hey KSalibs, how did you clean the birds nest of the blower port? I have the same issue currently. Thanks!
