I owned 34 Bayliner Avanti back in the 80's. Bayliner gets dissed all the time but that boat was great. Ran it in St Clair with zero issues. Everything worked. Fiberglass work was fine. Rode good in the St Clair washing machine. This is similar. My pics are pre-digitalYeah, I couldn't even finish typing it!
Oh yeah, I get it. All good. I've just never been a brand "fanboy" in cars, trucks, motorcycles or boats. Because of that I have been known to get the fanboys completely in a tizzy bringing up competing brands. Although, I am a fanboy of the original Big 3, just not specifically Chevy, Ford or Chrysler. That's all that'll be in my garage. The early ones - especially the smaller ones - well, they definitely had a "rickityness" to them. But they've come a long way since then. I was at a show recently and looked at them. They make a nice boat - it's an entry level boat and you can definitely see differences between them and higher end boats - but then the price is entry level, too... although I'm not sure ANY boat is priced "entry level" lately!!!
It's all just good natured humor, Tim - it's what we do on forums. The same way a certain car forum would discuss another brand. Nothing is meant to be callous... well, I'm not sure about Blueone... that's still up for debate
That's a nice picture at the dock!
Big, small, expensive, inexpensive, plain, fancy... I like 'em all!Oh yeah, I get it. All good. I've just never been a brand "fanboy" in cars, trucks, motorcycles or boats. Holy cow! Member since 2008.... 1st post?
Thanks to everyone for the information. As far as no post since 2008. I purchased a new Sea Ray in 2008 and have had 2 new boats since then.
Colony Marine, St Clair Shores MI got replacements for my 390DA last year. They will need your hull #
I ordered mine through Colony Marine in St Clair Shores MI.Where did those looking for the actuator land one? I called Shelley and that number is not longer accepting calls. I think the company is defunct. I'm in the market for an actuator now also. Called Sea Ray, who knew about as much about boats as a McDonalds drive thru operator, and sent me to Marine Max that won't even give me the specs on the actuator let alone a part number because they know their price is outrageous.
So anyone with any good info on where to buy these things?
Thanks!
Thanks JusI ordered mine through Colony Marine in St Clair Shores MI.
