engine hatch actuator

I've only ever gotten them through a dealer - they are still available that way. You may be able get it through the aftermarket, though, if you search for the make/model on the unit. Make sure you get the right "stroke" length, too.

Yeah, I'd be curious to know how one post in 15 years works, too!

You will fall over when you get the price from the dealer….. so sit down when you call….. manufacturer is in Windsor Ontario….. the have distributor in Detroit you can buy direct half price…… driving so don’t have contact info

Your boat uses an 18” actuator. There are aftermarket companies that make those, eddie marine being one. Bad news is id replace them both because chances are your new one is going to outrun the older one and your hatch wont go up and down evenly. My .02

I have two actuators…. Couple years ago replaced one from oem and it was identical speed

Blue... I totally agree with buying direct when possible. Just out of curiosity, do you remember "about" how much? Last I can remember it was roughly $500 through SR. Honestly, didn't bother me much... since, after all, it's for a boat and would carry the "marine" tax! :) But finding a significant lower source is great!

$225 and I picked it up

Open the motor up and clean the brushes and the contacts worked for me
My problem was I backed into it…. After checking the generator oil….. snapped it in half….. I obviously really wanted out of there :)

I will be following this one. Colony gave me a price last week for one for my 370EC ($1100). My new to me boat had one replaced three years ago. They don't quite match going up and down. I'm managing it for now, but replacement is in my future.

Wow, they've really gone up. I got 2 last spring from Colony for a little over $800.

I ordered two from her as well in the spring of 2021. As Blue says, a million phone calls and emails and finally. Paid $780 for two and they are perfect. I started with two from Amazon-18” stroke and fit perfect. When they bottomed out or topped out, you better get off the switch as they sit there and grind. These OEM ones from Shelly just stop at the top and stop at the bottom.

They won’t sell it to you if you say you own a Searay …… I said I had a regal….. that hurt a bit….. but you are a dealer so not sure what happens there
Maybe I should say I own a Bayl.... ;)
