Anyone intersted in organizing an end of season CSR event sometime in late October? Perhaps back in Baltimore or maybe in Annapolis? Yay, Nay, any Ideas?

Mike,
We would love to, but with the kids back in school, soccer games on Saturdays, etc, about the best we can do is overnights within 2-3 hours cruise.

This is why the BIH planning thread gets like 2 million views. After Labor Day we have to have something boating related to plan for--beyond shrink wrap and annual services...

Skip

I would be interested and I suspect that the two others that I regularly cruise with would be in as well. We have, for the past several years, gone to St. Michael's for our last cruise of the season in late Oct/early Nov. The ghost walk is fun and St. Michael's is always a good place to be.

That being said we are up for just about anything. Looking forward to it.

I'm up for anything but I, like Skip and I'm sure others, really start to run afoul of "real life" issues (like soccer, basketball, etc.) after Labor Day. That said, we will continue to try to get to the boat as often as possible through Thanksgiving. I could definitely see Baltimore, St. Michaels or Annapolis in my future (grabbing a mooring for the boat show is kind of fun). And I may try to do Urbanna in November but that is weather dependant. Gee, if only I knew someone with a nice 52DB that would volunteer to take me...

And Todd, when is the St. Michaels ghost walk? I'm sure the town is booked, but worth a try.

Sooooo, if anyone has any bright ideas, let's hear 'em!

If I am around ....count me in. Cripes, I have to do something this season !!!!!!

That said, the way this summer has gone, my wife will have no doubt made other plans for us......I'm actually looking forward to winter so I don't have to get pissed off at her screwing up another weekend with family obligations or other stuff.....ARRRHHHGGGG

We are trying to get a slip but will stay on the hook if we have to... Can you help get us a slip? Isn't that where you berth?

Unfortunately I can not help with the slip. We tried to get one last year and missed out but got the form in at the first minute this year and ended up with a slip. We will be in slip 12 at the town dock so stop by. We keep the boat down the river in Deltaville. There are 3 or 4 boats from our marina going up together. Hope to see you there.

Tim,

Your welcome to come with us any time! Unfortunately I any time in September is out for us, but October sure looks good!
How 'bout November 8th & 9th we take the boats down to Urbanna for the Ostyer festival? C'mon dude, it's only five hours!

I think St. Michaels cancelled their oyster festival this year, ok now is time for all to chime in and say “because the real one is in Urbanna”.

On Oct 4th the museum does have the small craft festival which was very nice last year and we will most likely attend again this year.

All of the above (below?) sounds good to me. I'm in serious denial as to the approach of the end of the season. St. Michael's and the Boat Show sound good. There is lot's of room outside St. Michael's to raft up but not sure where near Annapolis.

I'm going to drive up to Urbanna tomorrow... I'll see what I can do about slips... but I doubt I can get 4 or 5 BIG ones...

If we drop anchor, I'll probably take the boat up Wed to get a good spot.

I don't have an issue with rafting up but I do run my generator (it's in a sound box) and I won't raft with a gas boat that wants to run their genny... but I will toss you an extension cord!

of course on Friday night we'll watch Skip do the Oyster Snorting contest...
