That's the way of the future for sure. But my concern with these types of systems is always the same. What happens when they break or need replacing 10-15 years down the road? Will anyone supply rebuilt units and/or will replacement components/systems even be available? And will there be any techs that are still proficient with these systems at that time?

The same thing is true of the auto industry but the biggest differences are the sheer number of cars on the road with the same electronics. With a large base (automobiles), whole new industries have sprung up for repair and support in the auto business. Will that happen with the boating industry.......I guess only time will tell but I am not too optomistic.
