Haha yup blew both pre alpha and a gen one this year. I do NOT slam the throttle!! I do cruise at 3500 and rarely go above that and take plenty of time getting there!! Not sure what happened this time, she was running great.

No modified version Tail, it was a straight Gen 1. Are you done with your swap??? How's she running? Top Speed, cruising speed and RPMs. Go on dish it out Don't you have an SEI drive laying in your garage that you want to sell me super cheap? :smt038 I though I remember you saying something about that:thumbsup: lol

Dragging my feet now. 100 degree temps, 6 weeks plus waiting on fuel tanks, Major delays and hassles on all parts.
West System epoxy is the only thing Ive been able to buy without a hassle. I should be installing the engine on Mon/Tues if a shop does actually have the A1 marine grade fuel filler hoses and fittings they say they have. Merc sent the wrong service manual, Haven't heard back from a prop guy, and waiting a month now for a steering ram and trim pump.
I did do a lot of extra work though. Now I wish I could just cover her up and walk away for a while.
I'll give you guys the performance numbers when I splash this thing.

Sure enough, Nobody carrys enough fuel filler hose.
There idea of stocking it, Is a 4' length :huh: Even West Marine, Shame on them.

You mean to tell me they don't have a large roll of it that you can cut your own length? That's stupid. Order it offline somewhere and have it overnighted.

West Marine had 4' 1 1/2" filler hose. A shop I called in advance ended up only having 5' Nice little 110 mile goose chase. Also needed a tank vent, No have, And was thinking of another deck fill. No have again. This has been going on for 5 yrs now. Much more of an issue when your practically redoing the whole boat and getting big time delays on all parts and info.
Year started out, Before little engine died. 6 week backorder on transducer and New helm seat/pedestal adapter plate.
I should have just built a storage shed for the boat this year. Thats right Calif requires Cats on all 08 and newer engines. Rumor has it, Law will be 50 States in 2010.
Just happened to find my 06 crate engine same time my 5.7 died. Then the nightmare began. I guess one bad boating season out of five. Is not bad.
