I'm stuck. My windscreen washer valve is stuc ion the open pistion and I can't find the rascal anywhere to R & R it. The switch at the helm no longer has any effect on it other than to turn it on, once on nothing on this earth will close that valve. :smt101

I've removed the switch at the helm and removed the wires, no good still open, I've reversed the wires and triedn tat no go, still in the open position.:smt021

I can't let it just run and pump my tanks dry so I have to reach it and fix it. Here is the problem. I can't find that valve. I've consulted the parts manual and drawings. I see the feed line coming from the central water manifold on the drawings, but no water line running off to the deck.

The 800 # I've had to SR CSR is not the correct number any longer so, if anyone can help I will be grateful.

1. Number to SR CSR with a live tech

2. Location of this vavle on a 1999-2002 SR 460DA

3. Number for Jim Meyer at SR

If you would please msg me directly at asureyes@aol.com :smt100

All the best and CAVU days are just ahead ...

I don't think you will find a pump for the washer. I suspect it is in the cold water circuit from the water tank. I would follow the lines from the washers back down toward the bilge and I'd be looking for a T then an electrically operated valve in the cold water line probably on the stbd side of the engine room near the bulkhead. Windshield washers were an option which may explain why the valve isn't on the parts list. You might try finding it on the wiring diagram since the wires would be in place for the option even if the boat were not equipped. SR wiring diagrams usually give you a general location for components.

Good luck with the search.

Thanks for the add frank. No I realize there is not a special pump, it uses the house water pumps and water from the main tanks. Its the 12V actuated valve that is stuck in the open position.

If youhave any of the SR #'s I'd appreciate them. Jim Meyer was at Palm Harbor when these were built and I think he's still there.

There is no seperate pump, there is a solenoid valve that lets water into the line, it is located under the floor at the bottom of the steps, it's under the big opening where the sump pan is. You need to look up and to the starboard side, a gold looking valve. Bob

I know I'm not looking for pump, okay I'll get down in the hold and try to find it back in there. Not the easiest place for a 275 pound rail rat to get to, but I'm good for it. Thanks, I'll report back.

im not sure about this model but if im correct it is installed inside port cockpit storage next to cabin door or behind cockpit icemaker

Thanks Doozie, that was exactly where it was mounted. screwed up in to the saloon floor, mounted behind the main grey water sump pan. I need a really, really small person to get to it, but at least I can get a BFH on it. The valve is stuck in the open position and will spray water on the windscreen continuously while pumps are on. I tried the BFH trick without relief. So its an R & R thing. I doubt it can be repaired.

Now About the Mfg & Part numbers. I have the SR parts manual which is not much help. I know I'm not going to like the price. Anyone have mfg. details on this solenoid actuated valve?
