don't let this happen to you!

That engine weighs more than the boat. Dumb to be going that fast. Glad he is ok and that he was by himself in the boat.

Common sence just isn't so common is it? That's stuff fot see hydroplanes to on wildest videos on TV.

I like the advertisement for wearing a lifejacket and and kill switch cord. How bout an advertisement for not being a dumbass. I never understood the bass boat thing and I live in bass fishing paradise. I have no sympathy here.

looked fun just before he decided to go wake jumping.

He was chining on some of his runs even without the boat wake, he should have slowed down for that large of a wave... Dumbass for sure!

That was sure nice to post evidence on Youtube for his buddy's insurance company to see. I'm sure his insurance company has a clause stating that using your boat as a wakeboard is acceptable.

.

Maybe too much motor for that boat? It appeared to be ustable way before he turned it into a jetski.

Definitely appeared to be going to fast for the boat - barely any hull is touching the water. I like going fast too - but good god - they put way too much motor on these boats.

A hard lessen learned,
Is rude to come in too close off someone else's wake.

Unless one is racing in a hull that is designed for racing in a controlled situation, it makes no sense to have an engine that size in such a light hull. The only contact there was with the water was in the last 1-2 feet, at most. What is the point of having more horsepower than what is safe, unless one is suicidal? The Coast Guard Capacity Plates are there for a good reason. This is a case of being completely overpowered combined with obvious operator error. He almost earned a posthumus Darwin Award for that stunt.

My insurance questionaire asked the following: "Is this boat capable of speeds in excess of 70 MPH (90 MPH if it is a bass style boat)?"

Like it's safer to go 90 in a bass boat than 70 in a deep V hull???:wow::smt009:wow:

One of the captions said the poor bastard was floating unconcious for 10 minutes, and only his life jacket kept him afloat??!!!!?? Uh...they were filming him, did it really take 10 minutes to turn around???

Dumbass all the way around...

Maybe they already figure that bass boaters will be traveling at 90mph and charge an insane premium to start with, then give them a surcharge for going really stupidly fast -- is that too many adverbs for this idiocy?
