On my 506 bridge and aft sunroom deck there is two year old berber carpet with the Aqualoc backing but when it gets wet it holds the moisture instead of allowing it to drain and dry rapidly. My bridge has a huge sliding skylight that is 8X6. it is pretty water tight from rain but the glass sweats due to condensation in the cool humid mornings. The result is constantly wet carpet and since the bridge is all class enclosed it becomes a hot house when the sun comes out and then the mildew begins. I am wondering if the vinyl Corinthian carpet with the hydrafelt will allow the moisture to drain and flow via the nonskid. Any experience with the Hydra Felt backing? I am planning to do my boarding platform and stairs to the deck all out side but thought if the Hydrafelt drains well I may just do the rest of the aft deck and bridge to match.
