Does any one have Corinthian woven vinyl carpet with the Hydrafelt backing?

On my 506 bridge and aft sunroom deck there is two year old berber carpet with the Aqualoc backing but when it gets wet it holds the moisture instead of allowing it to drain and dry rapidly. My bridge has a huge sliding skylight that is 8X6. it is pretty water tight from rain but the glass sweats due to condensation in the cool humid mornings. The result is constantly wet carpet and since the bridge is all class enclosed it becomes a hot house when the sun comes out and then the mildew begins. I am wondering if the vinyl Corinthian carpet with the hydrafelt will allow the moisture to drain and flow via the nonskid. Any experience with the Hydra Felt backing? I am planning to do my boarding platform and stairs to the deck all out side but thought if the Hydrafelt drains well I may just do the rest of the aft deck and bridge to match.
Thanks for the input

I was thinking of doing my swim step and was going to call them directly...

I have Corinthian's "Solar Tan" with the Hydrafelt backing. It drains very well on the cockpit and swim platform. I have it also on the flybridge, but it has never been wet. The only downside to the product is that is does get hot in the direct sun. I usually get out the fresh water hose and soak it hot days. Other than that it is holding up well. I put together several posts about the process of making templates and the install over in the first couple of pages of the 450 EB thread. http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/the-official-450-express-bridge-owners-club.102401/

We have the Solar Tan w/Aqualoc Backing in the cockpit and helm... It has never gotten wet, but I have a sample sitting here on my desk, and looks like the woven vinyl on top of closed-cell foam ? with the ribbed bottom.

I received samples of both the Aqualoc backing and the Hydrafelt. The Hydra felt definitely looks like it will drain better. I will order enough to fabricate a mat for my boarding platform and boarding stairs first and see how it performs, I am choosing a color and pattern that will match my berber on the upper deck and bridge incase I don't do the entire boat.
Thanks for the input

I just got off the phone with Debra @ Corinthian 866-785-6507 x500 she said the Aqualoc backing would be the better choice for a wet application (swimstep).

I am surprised you say that. I have the Aqualoc now in the boat and had samples of the felt …. In my opinion the felt would hold water….

Rusty when I carpeted the 44DB, I went with Berber and the Aqualok backing. Never an issue under the carpet, but the Berber held water like a sponge. Fast forward to last year with the 420DA. Called and talked to Rebecca at Corinthian and was told that the felt backing was not an exterior/get soaked backing. Ordered samples of both the felt and Aqualoc. I really liked the felt, however, was convinced it would hold water. Went with the Aqualoc again and same great results. We have tremendous heat and humidity in the summer and wet/mold/mildew were never and issue under the carpet. We love it. It can tend to get hot, but only in direct sunlight. By running the camper top all of the way to the transom seating, it covers the carpet most of the time so no issues.

I figured since the Aqua-Loc is rubberized, that it would tend to hold water and the felt would allow it to drain through. I also spoke with Debra at Corinthian today, the pattern that I like is the lattice slate but it only comes with the Hydra-felt backing. She did say that the Aqua loc drains better because of the ribbed backing so water flows under the material but it makes some materials hold water longer. The Hydra felt however allows water to drain thru. I told her that I want to use it on my boarding platform that gets wet and she thinks it will dry quickly. I am ordering some tomorrow. The roll is 8 1/2 feet ride and they won't cut it except for length so to do my 16 foot wide by 4 foot deep platform Ill have to do it in two pieces and have a seam in the center to avoid having to buy twice the material I need. It will be fine and probably easier to handle anyway. I'll post pics when I'm done. I really appreciate the input from everyone.
