Just got this dock box and, of course, the dock committee says that it's too big! Made by Better Way Products, box looks brand new. Here is a link to the factory specs-----

Box was almost $500 new, asking $350. I may deliver/install for a small fee if you are local to Annapolis.

:wow: To big?????? 30" ??? :smt009

That is one of their smaller boxes...........what does your committee expect you to use......a suit case?

Unless the committe has some published rules about dodckbox size, I think I'd have to ask some hard questions about rules made after the fact and I'd force them to document the size rules before I went any further. If this is a first then you should be grandfathered under the new documented rules and allowed to keep the box. Personally, I think the box and its installation are neat and clean and could look a lot worse.

But, I'm sort of an independent SOB with no room or time for small minded self important beaureaucrats.................

+1

I am with Frank all of the way here. It's just silly to say that box is too big, it looks great and almost like the space was created especially for THAT box! :smt021

Committee: That dock box is too big.
Me: Your lease rates are too high but I don't see that changing anytime soon either.

Committee:

Per paragraph 14, section 3A of the contract you sighed, by not following the committee’s decision you must vacate the premises and forfeit your pre-paid $3,500 2010 slip fee. You have 24 hours to remove your boat and belongings or the boat will be hauled and held in reposition status and a fee of $120 day plus $700 for the hauling will apply. Have a blessed day.

I was going to put a "just kidding" disclaimer on my post. Guess I should have.

I would however review the contract. Seems odd that it would state that a 30" box is too big. I'm sure space is at a premimum & whatever they say goes.
