By exercise I mean to close and re-open them to insure they are not stuck. On another board, THT, they were discussing that you need to exercise, meaning close an open them, or in time they may not close when you need them to.

I know this will not be taken seriously... but...

Are there supposed to be grease fittings on these things or can you add them? I noticed on mine, there is a plug on the side that looks like a grease fitting could go there... I've never greased mine though. If you keep it greased up, it sure would be easier to exercise it..

This hurts...but on a serious note, my thru hulls get exercised frequently as I close them each time I check the strainers which is at least bi-weekly. I don't have anything on my thru hulls that looks like I could put a Zerk fitting on them (I think thats what grease fittings are called).
