My buddy is down visiting from Michigan and we went diving in Palm Beach today. Here are some pics from the dive. It was a 90' dive and all of these photos were taken with my iPhone 5.

This was looking up at the sun from 90'

Also worth noting...water temp was 83 degrees at 90' and we had 100' vis! As soon as we jumped in the water from the boat and looked down in 90' of water you could see the bottom! It was absolutely gorgeous.

Great pics Shaun. Your killing me, can't wait..... So... Out Lake Worth Inlet, North.... South ?

Where land ends, life begins and you are right on the edge of the wonderful, beautiful underwater world we call Fla and the Islands. It only gets clearer and more colorful as you head south, to the Keys and over to the Bahama Isle's.....the only thing you will need is a solid boat with a couple reliable engines that can carry you to waypoints just over the horizon, not that far. It is cool that you can jump to the inlet in the center console but to go to the Keys and islands we may need a little bigger than a day boat.

You just walked in the gate at Disney World and you're on the first ride and thinking you are seeing it all.....if we used a little bigger stroller we could jump to the back of the park where no one is and really see the clear waters with lobsters waving at us from below...if you only had a solid machine like a 300 Weekender that can take dang near anything Mother Ocean can throw at you in moments notice. Imagine showing up at marinas in that classic down in Key West or the Abacos....folks will notice....center consoles,uh, down at the end with no power or water, enjoy your night.

"Lucky's Deuce" is far, far from not seeing her way all over the eastern seaboard.....you ought to let her take you there.

Let's plan a trip, I will provide you with a free captain who knows where to go for as long as you want to go.

If you do come up the coast, I'd be proud to meet the two of you and your boat along the way, Seahorse needs to go out for a good run, 7days of rain and wind here has her down a bit

Shaun, thank you for the picture of the sun....I was wondering if it was still out there somewhere

Yes, Lake Worth inlet. Dove 2 different wreck sites. First was an 80' ship called Speermans Barge and the second was a 220' ship at a site called the Palm Beach Triangle. Both were very cool with lots of wild life.

Niiccceeee,

And, I still live in the Northeast because...........WHY?

Thanks for sharing what life is supposed to look like in October.

Mark.

Great pics! Do you still get to use the phone when inside the case? Wondering up to what depth would u have cell signal?

Yes you can. I had signal up to about 25-30' below. You can actually post photos to Facebook from underwater as long as you're not too deep. It's really a great purchase.

...and here I was thinking, "why in the heck would anyone want to try to make a call underwater when all that would be heard would be bubbles?" Feeling a little ignorant. :smt101

You should bring a spear pistol along with you to kill the lionfish. Their the snakeheads of the reefs. Good eating fish even though their small.
