here are the finished pic's for the davits and dinghy on my 340 sundancer----the straps are rachet style and are through bolted to the end of the davit, after the davit is loaded i just flip up and over the dinghy and attach the hook to the back side of the bracket.---works perfect !!!!

How do you have those straps attached and how is that working for you?

What brand are the davits?

What size tender do you recommend for an 05 340 DA. I am unsure what will fit the best I would prefer as large as we can without hanging over either side too much.

Thoughts are appreciated.

For safety and stability reasons, all of the davit companies will recommend a dinghy LOA that is 2' shorter than your boat's beam.

For example:
11' beam = 9' dinghy LOA (maximum)

How do you plan on countering the extra weight you now have hanging off the stern? I would recommend that you go to all chain windless which will add 150 lbs in the bow... Also, I took off over 200 lbs from my engines going to all stainless one piece exhausts... Nice setup...
