Deka Batteries

He's a New Yorker, what did you expect?

Really??? Did you just say that to another New Yorker?? :)

Many have been down a similar road at my marina with the manager....in fact, most of us aren't quite sure exactly why the owner keeps him around. Anyway, going directly to the owner typically yields a good outcome for us. And as far as getting work done on the boat? Not too concerned. Like I mentioned earlier, this marina has over a ten percent vacancy rate which is big for a 300 slip operation. Only three years ago the average waiting list was over two years long!

Bottom line today is supply of wet slips, service, etc. outweighs demand on the north shore of Long Island...if they don't want to do the work there are other shops who will gladly do it.

I thought you might like that. (only kidding though)

Kept track of how long it took me to respond?? LOL

Okay folks.......was away on vacation for two weeks hence the delay!!!

Went to see the marina owner's niece, who runs the office, last Friday. She had received my very detailed email about this situation. I showed her the documentation from East Bay Manufacturing showing what they would sell me, a retail cumstomer, the batteries for. She said she had no idea that their distributor wasn't giving them the best prices. Of course I had to voice my opinion about that but, at the end of the day, she matched their price of $122.14 for each DP27 they installed!

You don't get if you don't ask!!!
