Ok last week a couple of us touched on mine and many of you favorite show. I mentioned that I went to high School with Sig and Edgar and their brother Norm. We wern't closest friends or anything, but more like acquaitences. Anyway we went out on Lake Union and Washington here in Seattle yesterday (great day), as my Dad said the Northwestern and Cornelia Marie were moored where he retired from - Ballard Oil. Well neither one was there. The Rollo from last Season and the Wizard from this season was, but I forgot the Camera at home :smt021
Sorry. I'll try to get some pics and hunt down the other two boats.

Todd,

You forgot the camera :smt021 . That show has me hooked now and I DVR every episode. Sig and Norm are by far my favorite and I bet they have become stars in the area. Good luck searching.

It's my favorite show too. By Brother had beers with Sig last week. I found out a couple weeks ago that the watering hole I stop on occasion is where Phil Harris from Cornelia Marie has a few pops.

I'll try to not forget the camera next time. I'm pretty good usually with it....oh well.

Tonight's the Night!

Hey I got it on the DVR, so don't spill anything. Hopefully watch it tonight.

Because of that other thread, I searche dout After The Catch, and noticed it popped up in the list of recorded shows. Excited to check that out too.

You can't forget that camera next time. :smt001

Deadliest Catch is the only show on TV that I watch (besides Seinfeld re-runs)! I love it.

I really love this show as well. These guys are NUTS!

I felt bad when the captain had to dive in 36 degree water to cut the line from his props...NOT....

I'll bet the crew loved seeing him in the "cold"...... ...normally he's up in the wheel house with the heat on while the crew is out on deck dealing with the weather.....and that greenhorn who threw the hook in his long John's.....Ahhh to be young and dumb again....

I was just in Ballard doing a survey on a Condo. I passed the Lockspot(pub and Restaurant where "After the Catch" is filmed and Pacific Fisherman Shipyard.....where today was the mooring site for the Northwestern. All I had was my crappy Cell phone camera but I'm sure you guys will like this.
Sorry the pictures are horrible :smt021

Updated, shots.
I was in Ballard for Father's day- raining and not a great day in the Northwest for a boating trip(of course today it's beautiful, sunny and right now (7:46PM Pac time 70 perfect degrees' - no wind- :smt013 :smt021 :smt013 :smt021 :smt009 :smt017 :smt089 :smt100 :smt101 :smt021 :smt021 :smt021 )
...yet I digress...........
The Northwestern was not where I found it last week, but we went to the Chittenden locks

connecting lake Washington and the Puget Sound to show the kids the Salmon runs.
Adjacent to the locks is the "Lockspot" where the "Deadliest Catch's" "After the Catch" is shot
So here's a picture of that watering hole

Anyway check out the last viewing of After the Catch tomorrow night

My wife and I are big fans of the show and went through the locks Saturday and all the way to Lake Union, no sight of any of the boats.

Next tim eyou are near the locks, go to the North side of the the locks on the lake side. You'll see a small yellow sign with red Lettering

If you go to the West of the large Green boat "Helena Star" you'll see the "WIZARD" form the show. Also At Ballard Oil there is the "ROLLO" from last season. The "Northwestern" I saw last week, was at PAC Fish - East of Ballard Oil and appeared to be loaded up to head north, maybe for cod(not sure)
My Dad worked for Ballard Oil for ever(I worked there in '
87 fueling the fleet right our of High school while I went to College)
As mentioned before I went to high school with the Hansen brothers. Great guys and a tough family. I haven't seen Sig for at least 6 years, but my brother had beers with him a couple weeks ago

Awesome! We are picking up our boat either this weekend or next from the Lake Union Sea Ray dealer and will be going right by this. Big thank you!

We are having heat installed. I can NOT believe that the boat doesn't come with some form of cabin heat.
