Damar Hamlin

Also, I don't think it matters what sport it is. You watch your teammate collapse on the field/ice. Witness him receive CPR, defib etc... knowing he is technically dead and they are trying to revive him... you're not going to want to finish the game. I don't care how tough you are.
Agreed

True:
Look up
Christian Eriksen
Keyontae Johnson
Chuck Hughes
Bill Masterton

Plenty of examples in sports where game resumed. Hockey is unlike football in that games are played multiple times in same week, sometimes a day apart.

I remember the Christian Eriksen incident. If I remember correctly, the team refused to continue until they had a video call with Eriksen from the hospital and he encouraged them to continue. With the Bouwmeester example, there was never a question. Game canceled.

I am not going to debate this. You said if it was the NHL it would be a short delay and then the next faceoff would happen. I gave you an actual occurrence when that didn't happen. There was no need for a response. It wasn't my opinion, it was a fact.

Yes and I gave you an example of when it did, not only in hockey.

What is you’re point?

Was at the game Monday night - surreal is about the best way to put it.
A lot of crying and horrified/shocked looks from the females - Wife, sister in law (Buffalo girls) and two nieces. The only tidbit we could glean from where we were sitting was the guy with the back board stayed away from the player, so we assumed it was not spinal/neck.
When they got all the players bunched around him to block any view, there was much speculation he had passed.
After the ambulance left the field, a message on the scoreboard said "Game Temporarily Suspended" that was the first real clue that we got that he had not punched out. In the stands we knew nothing so I had a friend text me what he heard on tv.
The biggest take away was walking out. Two hours before, you were yelling and busting the chops of guys in the wrong colored jerseys, the walk out was like leaving a funeral.

The contrast I have to that is I was heavily involved in sports car racing in my younger years - sometimes crew, sometimes driving, sometimes flagging and communication. You lose guys doing this. Not regularly but often enough it takes up space in the back of your mind so the reaction when it does happen is different. Crewing for a guy at Indianapolis Raceway Park back in the 80's we had a Formula Ford driver submarine under/punch out the lowest level of the Armco guardrail. His head was compressed between his roll hoop and the up layer of Armco - he was gone instantly.

There were two more sessions to be run that day that were pushed to the next morning. Not because of losing a guy but to inspect all the other barriers and repair what was damaged in the accident. He was a local guy so there was a lot of crying there as well but no mention of not racing the next day.

We had a police officer shot and killed at about 4:00PM Monday so that was all over the news. Then because Damar was from a town about 5 miles from where the officer was shot they talked about that the rest of the night and kept going back and forth on the 2 stories. Both very sad and kind of ironic.

Meant to post this hearsay this morning. The Admiral works in an ICU and told me about a discussion she heard from a couple of Cardiologist doctors Tuesday morning. The docs were discussing the hit Damar took and were wild ass speculating on what happened. They thought which has been subsequently confirmed that he went into immediate cardiac arrest and because of the nature of the collision he took, he may have a tear in his aorta. The big concern is any brain damage he may have subsequently suffered. Like I said this is all purely hearsay and conjecture.

A tear in the aorta would have led to massive internal bleeding so much so he would not have survived. If it were a bruise or similar injury to Aorta he would had neede lots of blood, but they sure are mum on details.

Since he’s still intubated and only slightly breathing on his own he must have suffered major injuries.

I doubt it was a “heart attack “ but definitely cardiac arrest / ventricular fib.

He is not out of the woods. There has to be far more to this injury they’re not talking about.

Let me guess Dr El Shit for brains stopped by.
Kid in Detroit has heart problems, dipshit gets a hard on... "Vaccine See See!"

"Ignore poster" can be found by clicking on his name. It is a wonderful thing.

I have a friend who suffered a tear in his Aorta. He drove himself to the hospital. He is still alive. I am sure you will now give me unrelated examples of people who had torn aortas who died.

I myself have never felt the need to “ignore” a poster on any message board. I guess I don’t mind reading opinions that differ from mine. I am firm enough in my beliefs that I can’t imagine being swayed by them tho.

The world is full of double digit I.Q. sufferers that have convinced themselves that they are intellectually brilliant because they can read.
I don't like stupid fucks so if I have a simple option to keep them out of my life, I will certainly choose not to have them in my life.

If you want the vaccine great - If you dont that s great too! But when someone hopes and or prays that the guy (and a child) who almost punched out with heart issue, got the vaccine so they can bolster their position on the vaccine, thats the kind of person the world doesn't need and I sure as shit dont need nor want to listen to.

Exactly why I made my comment of not needing political stuff in the other thread about Damar.... On Facebook I deleted some stunod vaccine comments on a post that I made when it happened....
