The fresh water pump on my 240 Sun Deck cycles on and off about every two minutes with any demand for water. Thoroughly searched for leaks and found none. Had this proble on delivery...turned out to be leaky fitting riht at the pump. Ideas?

if its a shurflo like mine then theres a sensitivity adjustment screw right in the centre of the pressure switch assemby, facing you as you look at the pump. a wrong adjustment might cause this problem as there will always be minute changes in the pressure up from the pump. i suggest you get the make and model of your pump and check the manufacturers website for this adjustmeent.

I had a faucet that was just dripping a drop every 10 seconds. Barely noticable but made the pump cycle every five minutes. Check all of yours if they are positively closed and not dripping even ever so slightly.

Could be in the body of the pump if nothing else turns up. It's a leak.

Could be some crud caught in the diaphragm of the pump allowing the pressure to leak back to the tank.

Called the service dept. today and they said "sounds like a leak. Drop it off for a week and we'll take a look at it." It does sound like a leak but I have found no trace of water tracking, no seepage at any fitting or pressure line, no open faucets or faucet strainers, nothing. I'll check out the pump model and see if that leads me anywhere. Thanks everyone for the input.

Mine had a leak, cycled every couple of minutes, and it ended up being the transom shower hose (where the flexible hose meets the hard line). On mine, it attaches in the engine compartment, under the swim platform and looks VERY similar to a kitchen sink sprayer (although heavier) and has a small, flat o-ring. I can't remember if the newer 240's have a small access door with the sprayer stored away or if it's in the rear hatch.
