CSR Rendezvous 2009 – Atlantic City NJ

Where's Ocean Gate? I need a second place for premium for the PWC and a friend who has twin 800 hp V8s only burns premium.

Best regards,
Frank

Where's Ocean Gate?.....

Look here....The white line represents a VERY rough drawing of the ICW in the Area....

I see the secret spot and it looks like a boat is heading towards it.

Oops....you weren't supposed to see that.....mae culpa!!!!!

Dominic!!!!?

It's OK...without the secret 'route' info and password, the VERY low surrounding water will 'catch' any intruders.....if you look at the wake of the boat in the area, he barely got away....

Are the mines still in place or did the ice get them?

Frank H has been reinstated as keeper of the munitions....

Secret Spot.. I didnt think there was enough water in that area for a boat. I have blown through there quite a few times on Jetskis. The water is nice and flat there. Easy to cruise at 60 on a ski in that area.

The propaganda continues to be effective!!!!!:smt038

Frank H....you'll need to drop more leaflets after my slight breach of security....

Looks like Dominic is going to have to perform a forfeit when we're in AC.

60? Why so slowly?

Mike,
Aside from the local knowledge, whatch out for the South winds, which is 90% of the time. The spot migh be to rough just as Tices. If you notice, both spots are on the wide open with no protection from the South, North or West winds. We've had couple of occasions where we couldn't even have nice lunch there. This is why I had mentioned to have plan B and seek calm water at FR or TR. Other than that both spots are pretty nice. If you get your 450 before the trip this might be a piece of cake for you.

Yeah, and there's sharks there all the time, and pirahnas. Pirates too.

Older Skis. My Kawasaki 1100 is a 96.. Speedometer says 65, but I think its top speed is around 58 mph. Back in the day, it was the fastest ski you could buy.. That lasted about 1 year. The Sea-Doo is a 95 and tops out around 50, however when the water gets rough, the SeaDoo plows through while the Kawasaki launches off every wave.

This pic is in Marco Island, last April.

Oh yeah. A friend had one of those 1100s. Nice ski. Better than the STS 750 I had at the time. That 1100 was damned hard to start when cold. Like my new Sea Doo very much. Thinking about some really cool mods to get a few more mph out of her. I have a Sea Doo master tech who knows the machines in and out and will help so that I don't do anything insane.

Best regards,
Frank

I don't sit down all the time..

Did you say "Cool Mods" ??

Yes, but the guy doing them knows his business. I'll probably only do the intake grate and the impeller. The stock grate is draggy and the engine has plenty of power to turn more pitch. Cost some performance off the line, but she stands up so much on take-off that she unports the intake grate unless I remember to trim fully down. I'll trade some of that for more top-end.

Women sit.... real men stand!

Doug

Less wind resistance above 60 when seated. I don't see a problem riding on the seat, but if seated is sissy it's still better than slow.

Best regards,
Frank
